Who can claim?


You can make a claim if you meet the following criteria:

• If your flight within the EU or EU-based airline was in the last 6 years
• If you were delayed for more than 3 hours
• If the delay was not due to ‘extraordinary circumstances*
• If your flight was overbooked, cancelled, re-routed, delayed or you were denied boarding

Extraordinary circumstances include:

• Acts of terrorism or sabotage
• Political/civil unrest
• Extreme weather conditions
• Security risks/alerts
• Industrial action (to related services such as baggage handling, air traffic control)
• Hidden manufacturing defects including sabotage
